Terms of Service

Welcome to BruceNode. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of brucenode.com and the game server hosting services provided by The Global Paradise LLC, operating as BruceNode ("BruceNode", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a service, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Definitions

• "BruceNode", "we", "us", "our" — "BruceNode", "we", "us", "our" — The Global Paradise LLC, an Idaho limited liability company operating the BruceNode brand.
• "Services" — "Services" — game server hosting, the customer dashboard, the game control panel, related tools, and support provided by BruceNode.
• "Customer", "you", "your" — "Customer", "you", "your" — any individual or entity that creates an account, purchases a service, or otherwise uses BruceNode.
• "Server" — "Server" — a game server instance provisioned through our platform.
• "Wallet" — "Wallet" — your prepaid credit balance used for hourly billing.
• "Subscription" — "Subscription" — a recurring monthly or annual game server plan.
• "Addon" — "Addon" — an optional hardware upgrade (recurring) or setup service (one-time) added to a server.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BruceNode. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using our services you represent that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials, including any passwords, two-factor authentication secrets, and passkeys.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at hi@brucenode.com of any unauthorized access or security breach.
• One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, or promotions.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Services

4.1 Game Server Hosting

BruceNode provides managed game server hosting on infrastructure operated by us. We provision and maintain the underlying hardware, networking, and control panel. You are responsible for the configuration, content, mods, plugins, and operation of your server.

4.2 Server Resources

Each plan includes a defined allocation of memory, CPU, and storage. You may not exceed your allocated resources. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend servers that consistently exceed their resource limits, abuse shared infrastructure, or negatively impact other customers.

4.3 Uptime

We strive to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for all services. Planned maintenance windows are announced in advance. For uptime guarantees and compensation, see our Service Level Agreement.

4.4 Game Panel Access

Customer game server access is provided through our control panel at game.brucenode.com. Panel credentials can be revealed and rotated at any time from your dashboard. You are responsible for keeping panel credentials confidential.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use our services to:

• Host, distribute, or link to content that is illegal under applicable law.
• Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or any harmful software.
• Launch, facilitate, participate in, or amplify denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, network reconnaissance, or any form of network abuse.
• Mine cryptocurrency or run any non-gaming compute workload without our prior written approval.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk communications.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or systems, including BruceNode infrastructure.
• Use excessive resources in a manner that degrades service quality for other customers.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute our services without prior written permission.
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security, billing, rate-limiting, or access-control features.
• Use our services in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions laws.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund. Severe or repeated violations may be reported to law enforcement.

6. Billing & Payments

6.1 Pricing

All prices are listed in United States dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted. Currency conversion to your local currency is provided as a convenience and is processed by Stripe at checkout. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing subscriptions will continue at their current rate until the next renewal.

6.2 Payment Methods

Payments are processed by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods supported by Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize us and Stripe to charge it for the services you purchase.

6.3 Taxes

Prices do not include applicable sales, use, value-added, or other taxes. You are responsible for any taxes imposed by your jurisdiction. Where required, taxes will be calculated and added at checkout.

6.4 Promotional Codes

We may offer promotional codes from time to time. Promotional codes are subject to their own terms, may have expiration dates, and may be limited to specific products or first-time customers. Promotional codes do not extend the refund window.

7. Wallet Credits & Hourly Billing

BruceNode supports two billing models. Hourly servers are paid for using prepaid wallet credits. Subscription servers are billed by Stripe on a recurring basis (see section 8).

• You may top up your wallet through Stripe Checkout. The minimum top-up is $5.
• Wallet credits are deducted from your balance based on the elapsed time your hourly server has been running.
• If your wallet balance reaches zero, your hourly servers will be suspended until you top up. Your data is preserved during the suspension and your servers automatically resume once the wallet is topped up.
• Wallet credits do not expire and remain in your account until used.
• Wallet credits are intended for use on BruceNode services and are not transferable, exchangeable, or assignable.
• Cancelling an hourly server does not refund or affect your wallet balance. The remaining balance stays in your account for future use.

8. Subscriptions (Monthly & Annual)

• Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed upfront at the start of each billing period.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal.
• Annual subscriptions are billed once for the entire year and offer a discount equivalent to two free months compared to paying monthly.
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions from your customer dashboard or through the Stripe Customer Portal.

9. Addons

BruceNode offers two categories of addons:

• Hardware addons Hardware addons (recurring) — Extra CPU Threads, Reserved Standard Port, Daily Automated Backups. Billed alongside your subscription on the same recurring cycle.
• Setup addons Setup addons (one-time) — professional configuration services such as BungeeCord setup, modpack installation, anti-cheat configuration, and similar. Billed once on your first invoice.

Setup addons are fulfilled manually by our team after purchase. You will be invited to coordinate setup details through our Discord support channel. Setup addons are subject to our Refund Policy.

10. Failed Payments & Grace Period

If a subscription payment fails, we will notify you and Stripe will attempt to retry the charge. Our grace policy is:

• Day 0 — Day 0 — We notify you that your payment has failed.
• Day 3 — Day 3 — If payment has not been resolved, your server is suspended. Your data is preserved.
• Day 7 — Day 7 — If payment is still unresolved, your subscription is cancelled.
• Day 15 — Day 15 — If you have not reactivated, your server and its data are permanently deleted.

You can resolve a failed payment at any time before day 15 by updating your payment method in your dashboard. We strongly recommend keeping a valid payment method on file and watching for our payment-failure emails.

11. Cancellation

• Subscription cancellation: Subscription cancellation: You may cancel a monthly or annual subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your server will continue to run until the period ends, then enter the 15-day grace window before deletion.
• Hourly server cancellation: Hourly server cancellation: Hourly servers can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately. Your wallet balance is not refunded but remains available for future use.
• Account closure: Account closure: You may request to close your account by contacting hi@brucenode.com. Account closure is subject to the data retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

12. Refunds

Refunds are available within 3 days of purchase, and only when BruceNode's service has a verifiable issue that our team is unable to resolve. Full details, eligibility criteria, and the request process are set out in our Refund Policy.

13. Data & Content

13.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data, world files, configurations, and content stored on your server. We do not access, modify, or share the contents of your server except as required to provide the service you have requested or to comply with legal obligations.

13.2 Backups

We provide automated backups as part of the service. While we take backup integrity seriously, you remain ultimately responsible for maintaining your own offsite backups of any critical data. We are not liable for data loss to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13.3 Data Retention

Upon cancellation or termination, your server enters a 15-day grace window before permanent deletion. You may reactivate during this window. Once the grace window ends, server data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Account data is retained according to our Privacy Policy.

14. Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, fraud, abuse, or any unlawful activity.
• Suspension and termination decisions are at our reasonable discretion.
• You may cancel your service at any time as described in section 11.
• We may terminate the service entirely with at least 30 days written notice, in which case you will be refunded the unused portion of any prepaid subscription.
• Upon termination, you must cease all use of our services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnification, governing law, and intellectual property) will survive.

15. Intellectual Property

The BruceNode name, logo, mascot (Bruce), website design, software, and all related materials are the intellectual property of The Global Paradise LLC and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials without our prior written permission.

You retain all rights to the content you place on your server. By using our services, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to host, transmit, and back up that content as required to provide the service.

16. Copyright (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content hosted on BruceNode infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to hi@brucenode.com including:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The URL or precise location of the allegedly infringing material.
• Your contact information (full name, address, phone number, email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will investigate properly submitted notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing content and suspending the responsible account. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BruceNode and its officers, members, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred US dollars ($100) or (b) the amount you paid to BruceNode in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. You use our services at your own risk.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BruceNode, The Global Paradise LLC, and our officers, members, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the services, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any rights of another party, or (d) any content you place on or transmit through our services.

20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. You and BruceNode each waive any right to a jury trial.

Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at hi@brucenode.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond within 30 days.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The most current version is always available on this page.
