Rust is one of the most resource-intensive games to host. For small dev/test servers, the 4 GB plan works for up to 10 players. For community servers (up to 50 players), we recommend 6 GB minimum. Medium community servers (50–150 players) need 8–12 GB, and large modded servers with 200+ players need 16 GB+. Map size and plugin count also affect RAM usage significantly.
Oxide (maintained under uMod) is the most popular modding framework for Rust. It lets you install thousands of community-made C# plugins — economy systems, teleportation, kits, admin tools, shops, and much more. All BruceNode servers come with one-click Oxide installation.
Yes. Upload custom maps created with RustEdit or download community-made maps. Upload the .map file through our panel and configure your server to load it instead of generating a procedural world.
Facepunch forces a map wipe on the first Thursday of every month with game updates. Between forced wipes, you control your own schedule — wipe the map, blueprints, or both whenever you want. Our panel lets you schedule automatic wipes with your chosen seed and world size.
Rust+ is Facepunch's official companion app. Players can monitor your server, receive raid alerts, control smart switches and alarms, and chat with teammates from their phone. Our servers come pre-configured with the required port open.
Our Starter plan (6 GB) handles up to 50 players, Standard (8 GB) up to 100, Pro (12 GB) up to 200, and Ultimate (16 GB) supports 300+ players. For larger communities, use our custom configurator to scale higher.
